Kids can hurt on the inside, too.
Right now, one in five kids struggle with mental health issues like anxiety, depression, eating disorders and schizophrenia—and only half can get access to the help they need. It’s time to change that. This year, your donations to Teddy for a Toonie go towards building new mental health facilities and programs for Alberta’s children and youth.
Each May, ATB’s Teddy for a Toonie raises money to support children’s health across Alberta.

Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation, Youth Mental Health Lounge & Youth Day Program
Grande Prairie, AB
The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation and Alberta Health Services have partnered to create a Youth Mental Health Lounge in the new Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
The Youth Mental Health Lounge is an area dedicated to mental health. Children and youth will use this space to engage in group activities, sessions and recreation. The lounge will have a private room for patients, their families and healthcare providers to meet comfortably and focus on treatment and recovery.
