People are why
The Fort McMurray fire was close. Howie was sitting on top of 350,000 cubic metres of wood at his sawmill, Northland Forest Products. While he and his brother faced the unbelievable task of saving the mill, his employees had evacuated Fort McMurray. Many of them were scattered across the province, separated from family and the paycheques they had coming to them. Howie faced a crisis, but his employees needed their pay to make ends meet. So, Northland's controller contacted ATB. We stepped up to the plate to help take care of their employees while they took down the fire.
